The Yubikey Bio
The YubiKey Bio combines Yubico’s industry-leading hardware security with a seamless user experience through biometric fingerprint authentication. Specifically designed for desktop environments, it offers secure,passwordless login and robust two-factor authentication. The fingerprint template is securely stored directly within the key’s hardware, ensuring that your biometric data never leaves the device.

FIDO2 / WebAuthn Protocol
Capability: Enables ultra-fast 2FA or passwordless authentication.

Biometric Security: Fingerprint authentication with a PIN as a fallback.
Authentication process: The user inserts the key and places a finger on the sensor to verify their presence and identity. Device certified by the FIDO Alliance.
FIDO U2F Protocol
The U2F app is certified by the FIDO Alliance. It allows you to generate and store an unlimited number of credentials to secure your accounts using two-factor authentication (2FA).
